Roll history

Your rolls will appear here.

Dungeons & Dragons and most tabletop role-playing games run on seven dice: the d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 (percentile). This D&D dice roller switches between all seven with one tap, rolls multiple dice at once for damage like 2d6+3, and adds a fixed modifier for attack bonuses, saving throws or skill checks. Every roll uses a cryptographically secure random source rather than a predictable timer-based generator, so results are fair for actual play.

    Which Die Do I Roll?

Most D&D actions come down to one die: the d20. Attack rolls, ability checks and saving throws are all a single d20 plus a modifier. The other dice mostly come up when you deal damage, and which one you roll depends entirely on your weapon or spell.

    • d20 — attack rolls, ability checks, saving throws, initiative
    • d4 — dagger and dart damage, many cantrips
    • d6 — shortsword and light crossbow damage, fireball-tier spells
    • d8 — longsword and rapier damage
    • d10 — heavy crossbow and pike damage
    • d12 — greataxe damage, barbarian hit dice
    • d100 — percentile tables, wild magic surges, random encounters

    Rolling With Advantage and Disadvantage

Set the dice count to 2, pick d20, and roll. The individual results panel shows both numbers separately — take the higher one for advantage, or the lower one for disadvantage. The total shown by default is the sum of both, so read the two dice, not the combined total, when advantage or disadvantage applies.

    Rolling Damage Dice

To roll something like 2d6+3, set the dice count to 2, choose the d6 die, and enter 3 in the modifier field. The tool rolls both dice, sums them, and adds the modifier to give you the final damage total in one step.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I use this as a D&D dice roller for 5th edition?

Yes. It covers every die used in D&D 5th edition and earlier editions — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 — so it works for any published D&D ruleset or homebrew system built on the same dice.

How do I roll with advantage or disadvantage?

Set the dice count to 2 and select d20, then roll. The results panel lists both dice separately so you can pick the higher result for advantage or the lower one for disadvantage.

Does this roller support percentile (d100) rolls?

Yes. Selecting d100 generates a genuine 1–100 result directly, the same outcome as rolling two ten-sided percentile dice and reading them as tens and ones.

Is the randomness fair for actual gameplay?

Yes. Every roll is generated with the browser's cryptographically secure random number source, not a simple timer-based function, so results aren't predictable or biased toward any face.

Can I roll damage dice with a modifier, like 2d6+3?

Yes. Set the dice count and die type, then enter your bonus in the modifier field. The total updates to include the modifier automatically.

    Is this free?

Yes, completely free, with no account, download or app install required.
